Tips with songs as inspiration
Now that I think about it, this goes for both drawing and writing. I usually do this while writing, since I type faster than I draw!
Choose a song. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 minute or 7 minutes long. Be inspired by it. Find a new song that you can just be swept away by or use an old one you know you love. See the scene before your eyes. I know we all do it, we get swept away by the songs. We imagine ourselves or our characters doing certain things. These certain things are just what you’re going to write/draw about! Do not care if it sucks or if it puts you on the pedestal, just write/draw it.
The catch is, you must not continue after the song ends. When the song is done, you’re done. No more writing. Don’t care that it’s not finished. It’s just for fun and practice.
Do this several times with several songs. I promise you, it’s a loooot of fun!
